About Rescue Dog Happiness
Welcome to the About Page of Rescue Dog Happiness
I welcome you all to the about page of Rescue Dog Happiness. I started this blog for anyone who is thinking about adopting a rescue dog, whether it is from a rescue society or a shelter. Or for those of you who is blessed to share your life with a treasured canine best friend, or two.
I love dogs, it’s no secret! I stop and talk to every dog, make googly eyes and make smooching sounds… yes, I could kiss them all.
There were even times when my kids thought I prefer dogs over them. But the truth is we are all family, and that includes all the dogs and many cats we’ve shared our lives with. Two legs, 3, or four I adore them. And while I can say I met a few people over the time I didn’t care for, I can’t say the same for dogs (all animals in fact).
About Andrea
As a dog mom, and foster home, I’ve been blessed to have all types of dogs in my life (mostly rescue dogs). I was fortunate to have dogs in the family dogs through my childhood and teen years. And my obsession with dogs continued through my 42-year and counting adult life.
Over the time I had the pleasure of raising rescue pups, training dogs (though I do not claim to be a trainer and i’m still learning beyond the basics). I have dealt with small and serious dog health issues. As well as the heartbreaks that come from inevitable loss of our seniors dogs. And through it i’ve learned so much and continue to do so.
